Favorite San Francisco Hotel?

I like the palace

I have stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, on Stockton, which is very nice, but lacks views. My concern is how scruffy the downtown and Chinatown areas have become.
Perhaps, some place on Nob Hill might work. Thank you.

Check out Hotel Drisco. Above cow hollow and the marina in pacific heights.

I like the palace; as a bonus it’s directly next to flatiron wines.

Like the Palace but make sure you get a decent size room … some are a bit claustrophobic.

I’ve stayed a lot at the Grand Hyatt on Embarcadero - annual conference there etc - and it is very business conference style but the rooms with balconies overlooking the water are pretty nice and it’s fun to be able to run to the Ferry Building for a snack or drink. Would not be my first choice but not a bad option.

+1

St. Regis/Four Seasons/Mandarin/Ritz are all super nice.

But the Fairmont is my favorite. It feels so classic and I love the Nob Hill location and views.

I was lucky enough to stay at the Hunington quite a few years ago. It was great.

Well??? Did you survive to reply?

As it were, I think that I would have enjoyed it more it I were ten years younger. Instead, I was left wanting for more space.

Next time try the Fairmont or Palace.
