I have never been to La Paulee so my statement that ours were better was based upon the comments of others. It’s not a cattle call; you can have civilized conversations with others, and the people who come aren’t obsessed with whether the other people at their table brought good wine. The only thing I can say from my own knowledge is that I know a lot of people who go to the La Paulee dinner and are more concerned about whether they are at a table that is appropriate for the quality of the wine that they brought.
