Food Mashups . . .

Ewwww

I like to put spaghetti sauce or Indian dishes over a baked potato.

We also melt up a nice pot of Fondue cheese, a little on the creamy side, pour it over elbow pasta, and serve it as Fondue Mac n’ Cheese.

Hot and sour, and egg drop , is a great combo .

Or a Matzo Ball.

Not in my house. Although I could probably live with stirring some beaten egg into hot and sour soup, I could. It abide the mixing of the broths

I had no idea it existed.

Did you try it ?

Nope

2 good ones . I’d say you’re on fire, but not being in California…

Another good combination is egg salad and tuna salad.
Also lox with egg salad.

Cold roast potatoes (especially when done in goose or duck fat) is a good place to start.

Those are not mashups. They are staples.

Read a recipe the other day that suggested frying breaded pork cutlets in duck fat. Need to try this.

Do report back please.

I strongly suspect one could fry (almost*) anything in duck fat.

  • Mars bar - not so sure.

Cheetoes on a PB&J sandwich.

I generally fry mine in leaf lard and it’s delicious. I don’t think you can go wrong with duck fat ever!

Tzatziki cole slaw

Might the relatively low smoke point be a problem?

That’s an idea. I think I will try it tomorrow. I have made Tatziki egg salad with gravlax.

Gefilte fish mashed with eggs (hot or cold ).
Gefilte fish mixed up with cottage cheese .
