That reminds me of a dessert I had at Dish restaurant in Hartford many years ago. Their basil gelato was better than any ice cream I’ve ever had.

Suddenly it’s too late Chris! The leaves are starting to wilt and yellow, and I gave all the tops to a neighbor this AM. I don’t expect too much more of quality, and I’m gone through labor day so no one to tend to it. If you’d like some mint it’s all yours.
There is a lamb and basil dish at a local Chinese restaurant that I really like that uses a massive amount of basil. Let’s say close to one plant per person. Simple thin sliced lamb sauteed with fresh garlic and then basil and the ubiquitous Chinese brown sauce and basil thrown it at the last minute.
