I would love to go mushroom hunting with you. I am a bit nervous of eating many fungi growing in my woods.
There is a local guy here that does mushroom hunts, and you can hire him to do a private hunt on your land or public land. I keep meaning to schedule a private hunt with him. I really need help identifying mushrooms and trees/spots where morels are likely to grow.

It is possible–but it’s more involved than people usually do:
I was at a destination resort event last month where we went to the produce field and greenhouse to met the on-premise produce farmer and chef before our meal.
I asked if they were looking forward to the upcoming ramp harvest and they had no clue. Made me SMH.
