Picked up 2 mags of 2007 Warres, and 2 1985 Guigal Cote Rotie, for $135 total cost with my 50% off gift certificates!
Agreed. Created 3rd different acct. before I could get it to check out properly. Probably better to order over the phone but after hours people cannot look up acct so you will need to go through a four page process as they get all of your info. Either way you work for your discount!
I had the same bottle in my cart (birth year wine).
Sigh.
I dont know a lot about white burg but got a couple of 08 Girardin, Vincent Quintessence de Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay which after discount and the cards came out to $50 a bottle. Good enoughto give them a whirl
I had to call in my order to use my 2 $50 certs.
Picked up:
2005 Ste Michelle, Chateau Ethos Late Harvest Riesling Riesling White 375ml $20.99

2009 Didier Dagueneau Blanc Fume de Pouilly Sauvignon Blanc White 750ml $48.99
The above shows the discounted price.
I love the 3 day shipping for the cost of ground.
I also missed out on the '05 Doisy-Vedrines halves (they went fast!) but picked up a couple bottles each of:
02 Taupenot-Merme Charmes
02 Taupenot-Merme Mazoyeres
98 Chapoutier CdP La Bernardine
85 Smith-Woodhouse VP
01 Hetszolo Tokaji 5 puttonayos
96 Rieussec (halves)
At the risk of hurting my chances on the next sale… those of you who had ordering problems, I would recommend asking your private client rep to email you the list in excel and then email your order directly to your rep. No website interface required. As others have said, can’t beat JJB’s customer service.
I had a mixed case in the cart - a combination of single bottles with some barolo, brunello, a Capiaux pinot, even a chablis.
For some reason, the browser or the site kicked me off and shut my browser.
I took that as a sign; my computer knows I have enough wine. After all, it has seen the number of times I have punched in my card number and shipping address.
I will not go back; the ordering system on that web site was painful.
I have wanted to put a bottle or two of Gouges in the basement to see what it’s all about. Wound up with a bottle of Clos des Porrets 2006 for $70 less 50%; using one of those cards made it $18. Seems like a reasonable way to check out something new.

For this sale, I emailed my account manager fellow. He responded in less than five minutes with a Excel spreadsheet of the wines on sale. I sent him an email with the few wines I was interested in, in a couple minutes I had an invoice in my inbox.
I’ve gone through the website in the past, and agree it’s terrible, but for those of you who purchase regularly I’d suggest using their account manager folks.
I reviewed 15 pages of Burgundy in just a few minutes - no difficulty; plus Loire and Rieslings. A spreadsheet would make the review even easier; good idea.
Good price on the Briailles Ile and several Chablis, plus others, of course.
S&H strikes me as rather high.
Does it really cost $14.99 [$15.99 if you include the “insurance”] to ship a single bottle from Oakland to Santa Barbara?
That cant be right if it is via GSO. My shipping from the bay area to Sacramento was only $14 for 7 bottles.
