Napa tomorrow for first time

Not to hijack the thread, but I’m heading to Napa next month and wanted to ask if there are any wine shops that are great for finding new or under-the-radar local producers.

David and Monica at 750wines in St. Helena are exceptional for service and hard-to-find selection.

I agree with this if you don’t have the time to visit or setup appointments with the higher priced houses. Just a heads up that it would be best to make an appointment with them first. Give them a price point and they will pour accordingly. Dropping by can be hit or miss as they mainly do private tastings.

Watch out for the coppers. Saw a couple of DUI’s when we were there last. One right in downtown Yountsville at dinner time. Sad.

Loooots of Sheriff action in Yountville when we were there, and a number of pull overs. Uber was fine along 29. If you’re going to be right near the highway (like in Yountville) it’s worth considering.

I was about to say…two of the fine people to meet and talk to. Just make sure you’re a SF Giants fan for that period of time

We used Uber frequently on our last trip. Good coverage in Napa these days.

I second Glen’s Acme recommendation. Had an utterly fantastic tasting there last month. A lot of really cool wines they’re pouring. If you’re interested, shoot me a PM, and I can get you my contact’s info.
