New to me (red) Burg Producers: H. Magnien, Amiot-Servelle, Marchand-Tawse

The Amiot Servelle Derrière la Grange can be, in the best vintages, something approaching Grand cru complexity to me. It just has layers of flavor and complexity that can be blow away good. As there are so few producers of it, it remains a unicorn wine of sorts. Its physical location at the foot of the hillside would not inspire much to an onlooker, but it just has a hard-to-put-my-finger-on-it sense of class.

I think the Amiot-Servelle wines have gotten better recently as their farming has gotten better and the Derriere la Grange is a fun wine, yeah.

Greg, what do you mean by recently? Last 2 years? 5? 10? I have some '15s I should compare to the '19s, annoyed with myself for not thinking of that before opening the '19.

Henri/Charles Magnien clearly has gotten a lot better in the last 5 years or so (not based on my tastings - these '20s are my first from this domain) but based on what others have written.

Prune took over in earnest starting in 2014, I believe, with organic conversion started a few years earlier.
