New Tusk Offer

I remember it was originally a referral required which I did several years ago and just got the email. I passed, was too much for me to spend for this wine, especially with my other venture into wine. Still never tried but assume its a very big but silky wine. The packaging is pretty cool but sad once it goes to trash right after opening. Seen plenty at my wine storage facility trash.

Tusk’s commercial practices are covered in another WB thread

No interest in searching for another thread on all this, but they will either change that practice (whether it’s real or a Napa urban myth), or be selling the entire operation in 3-5 years for 30 cents on the dollar.

Tough times ahead for Napa…

Just consider the thread grausam aber lustig type of entertainment !

Or better yet, a free performance by Fleetwood Mac?

Yeah, Hidden Ridge sold and was renamed Immortal Estate which split the wine into a base wine (Slope) and reserve wine (Impassable Mtn), hence the big price jump for the new reserve. Some of the new partners are marketing/info-mercial people who are also behind Tusk. The ad copy is beyond…
Another note- the Hidden Ridge vineyard is technically Sonoma, it’s just west of the top crest of the Mayacamas Mtn range, which is the dividing line between Napa (Spring Mtn Appellation) and Sonoma. If you drive just a half mile past Paloma you come to the Hidden Ridge vineyard (IIRC).

I’m a fan of the wine (Immortal Estate), it’s good wine. Was a better bargain at $55, than it is now at $90, but I think we can say that about a lot of CA wines.

Last vintage of Hidden Ridge I purchased was the 2013 55% Slope (named for the grade of the hillside) for $45 and the 2013 Impassable Mountain Reserve for $80. The following vintage after it was purchased was $75 and $303 respectively :flushed:. The current Immortal Estate wines are still really good!

Wow, I didn’t realize they had a reserve while named Hidden Ridge!
