The best thing about Pappas is the wine list. I’m not sure how the steaks in Dallas are, but the steaks at Pappas in Houston are pretty weak.

I was taken to Pappas in Dallas … somewhat against my will because I’ll I knew about Pappas was all the chains in Houston. I was shocked at how nice it was and the wine list was spectacular. But I was even more shocked at how good my steak was. It was fantastic. So on one of my trips to Houston I was very excited to hear we were going to Pappas. Huge let down. Everything about it was mediocre.

For those who mentioned Pappas…anything to specifically get or menu standouts (good or bad?).

We usually get a lobster for the table and some crab cakes to go with white burgundy. They also had a new deviled egg dish that is pretty killer. I’m a NY strip guy, so that is what I get for steak. Mr. Hall goes a lot more often than I do, so he probably has better suggestions.
