Never stayed, but great location on that little square with all the restaurants.
I am deeply appreciative that all of you took the time to help me out. I’ve also been quite surprised how many of the places that I’ve looked into are booked already for early April (though we need two rooms and many of these places only have a few rooms – if we only needed one room a much higher number would have availability).
I’ll post where we end up making our plans and then how the stay goes. Thanks all of you so much.

It’s located right off the 101 in Atascadero, about 10 minutes south of Paso. The hotel was built in 1929, but was renovated in 2005, so it is not your typical hotel. I highly recommend it and they look to have availability in April, according to their on-line reservation system.
