Given the choices I took the obvious “Baseball and Riesling” but I would be much harder pressed had there been a “Soccer and champagne” or “Soccer and Chenin” option.

I’m an admirer of both wines but I’ll take French Chardonnay hands down and twice on Sunday over Riesling. I own about 25 btls of Riesling vs 150 btls of French Chardonnay. I am down to about 5 btls of CA Chardonnay and now only actively buy Joel Gott and Rhys from CA. I rarely watch sports but wanted to weigh in on Chardonnay vs Riesling.

Riesling and football. Football was a no-brainer, but Riesling versus Chardonnay was a close call.
