Alan - it gets pretty hot out here in the foothills during the summer time, but we have a nice exposure that protects us from the late afternoon sun. That said, temps below the house can creep into the low 70’s when we get a heat-spell, but the cellar keeps its temp quite well, especially considering it has an exposed DG floor. I let it go passive in the winter and just plugged the AC unit in the other day, which will run for the next 6 months or so.
Obviously I haven’t started unpacking spring shipments yet! Walls on the ends are double deep, and the rack between the magnums and the door are mostly for half bottles.

Crap the height is even perfect for me since I am in a wheelchair. It’s always a pain in the ars when I open my cellar door to reach something on the top level. So you know where all the good stuff is
