SF Bay Area/Peninsula OL - Pinstripes, Jan 27

Ok so I got a reply.
They’d love to have us, and we can use the private room.
Manager said he’d charge $5/bottle, so not horrendous.

So what do you guys think?

Again I like the venue - but…
If food sucks, there’s Shake Shack next door!

Private room is good! Let’s give it a whirl.

Will they allow Stags to bring in Shake Shack?

I’m game to try

How much will they charge for shakeage?

Reading yelp makes it sound a little hectic. Big place, erratic service. I’d rather patronize a small family place like Sole, but am OK with whatever the group decides.

Traveling that week so can’t make it…the owner of Sapore in Burlingame offered us the upstairs with no corkage as well.

Ok - so got confirmation for Monday Jan 27 at 6:30.

Alan, yes it’s a bit noisy but we’re getting the private room, so it’ll be much better.

Yeah, but Alan is a bit noisy so a private room ain’t gonna be much help.

I assumed he meant just for me.

“Table for one!”

Any theme for this get together?

Oh yah.
How about 2-3 categories?
And maybe make some or all blind?

One category I’d like is Nebbiolo…Barolo/Barbaresco…

Nebbiolo sounds great, I’d be happy to bring a bottle and serve it blind

I’d suggest Nebbiolo with at least some age, like 10 years minimum?
How about a white category and Cabernet based one?

I’m gonna bring mine blind.

I’ll bring a blind dry white.

So the theme is blind wines?

Theme -
Suggested categories which were Nebbiolo, white, Cabernet.
We can do all three themes if interested, or not…I just suggested blind.

If you want, you can also eat dinner blind, I don’t care.
