Styro shippers vs Cardboard

Thanks to this thread I was able to research and learn that our local waste management company does indeed recycle Styrofoam shippers if you drop them off at their intake facility. Otherwise, they ask that you throw it in the garbage. I’m going to save my Styrofoam shippers for drop off going forward. Thanks for the heads-up.

My business switched to cardboard. We keep some styro on hand for shipping samples in blazing heat, but otherwise it’s cardboard. Also, everything is chilled to 33 degrees before being packed and we time it so the shipments leave within about an hour of packing.

Debate question: Plastic is a greater environmental hazard than global warming. Yea or Nay. Discuss in 5 million words or more.
