Probably what you’d imagine in this (and all) vintage - gives a sense of place, grape, and in this vintage, the ripe, generous nature of it all. I liked it, though my friends would like it more - today, anyway; in 15 years, the opposite. Each time I’m with Andrea I pretty much say the same thing, “keep doing exactly what you’re doing”. That’s not something I could say to/for all growers/winemakers.

Once the virus lock-down is over here in Toscana/Italia, I’ll probably pick up a few for the cellar here; I’ll be buying double or triple that amount in '16, '18, '19. But that’s my palate, not most.

Can you give us an early comment about the '18 & '19 vintages for Brunello? Thanks.

Thanks for the great report. Are you able to expand on your thoughts on the Lisini? They are a favorite of mine, as they appear to be of yours, but I typically have to buy without tasting first (and with them, generally do so without hesitation), so your comments give me some concern. Do you think something went wrong here, or maybe this just isn’t their year and I should double up on 2016 instead, from them?

I picked up the Albatreti on pre arrival and stumbled across the regular Caparzo at B-21 here in Florida at a great price($31). Sounds like a vintage with some great wines but ymmv. I saw some comments about some hot wines ? Interested on your experience ?
