TN: 2009 Peter Lauer Ayler Kupp Riesling Fass 2 (Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer)

That statement most likely caused an emergency meeting.

Please don’t attempt to spell potato.

The line between Chairman and Chairman ex officio is wafer thin.

Yes, but a Chairman Emeritus can fit nicely.

My bottle of Fass 1 arrived today and I figured no time like the present to crack and pour.
The nose is interesting with honey, ginger, lemon custard and white flowers while the palate has green apple, pear and lots of acidity. I can see how Carl felt it was two wines at once and I do believe that holding on to it will benefit the drinker. However, I am fully enjoying this Riesling on a Monday night. [cheers.gif]

The thing with Lauer, to me they almost always offer something for now. Whether they should be held or drunk today, they are usually good today. They are usually so fresh as well.
