TN: 2014 Comm. G.B. Burlotto Barolo Monvigliero and now the regular Barolo

The producers that you haven’t found or heard about here in the US are still deals over there. Maybe they’re not as long-lived as Vietti or Brovia but i found a producer where I was paying about $42/bottle for their Rocche di Castiglione Falletto. If you get out and taste, know what you’re looking for, there are still values to be found in Barolo, Barbaresco, and the surrounding towns.

Opened the 14 base Barolo last week along with the 08 F. Rinaldi Cannubbio and the 2012 Prod Barbaresco. Kevin’s note below is spot on. I gave it 90 points. The 08 Rinaldi was the star of the show no surprise but the 12 Prod also had a lot more going on the 14 Burlotto.

I had the 15 and 16 versions of the base Barolo and they are a significant step up.
