Thanks for writing this up. One heck of an event. Francois and Marite really outdid themselves this year. My friend Birdie really had a great time. Thanks for taking him to lunch.

Your notes missed the 1999 DRC-RSV. Here was my take on it:

Much darker than the other wines. A deep brooding nose that opened up with fresh crushed dark berries. Very fine tannin that dries on the finish. Great mid-palate intensity. 96

Just added my note. For me, it was the highest rated RSV of the tasting.
