TN: Point of Vieux...

A 98 Clos du Pape over the holidays was quite nice, though the first one opened was corked :frowning:

Thanks, Jay. I was on a number of different boards in the early years…AOL and CServe from 1994 to 1998/9 or whenever they met their respective demises, then some on WLDG and Squires but mostly WCWN from then to about 2007. I was registered on a few others but never liked WS and once Parker took over on Squires I ditched that too. I got into the wine business in 2006, which lasted almost 10 years, and the urge to talk about it online was less (at least for me) when I was dealing with it every day. Then there was also the feeling of not wanting to be a “shill” for the wines I was selling, even though I had been a big fan of many of the same wines (like VT) before I was ITB. I registered here when the board first started, and have looked in and posted occasionally, but just started to really post regularly this year. I still struggle with some of the argumentative/pedantic posts and such, but try to just look at wine as fun and educational. When I was younger I had more energy to argue and such, but now I just want to enjoy life and whatever time I choose to spend here.

He’d need to be able to eat some big stones…
