TNR Bedrock Ode to Lulu 2013

Popped and poured last night, was excellent.

The change in color from the pale salmon of the 2011 and 2012 vintages to the bright red and orange of 2013 is quite startling.

My experience is that roses hold up well for a few years. An MW pal is of the DYA and drink them up crowd. I have had a couple of 12 vintage roses lately, and even a 10 Bandol that was delicious, so I am open to the notion that I may open a rose too early.

That said, I have yet to encounter one that didn’t show on release that magically transformed. I thought the 12 OdL was okay on release, but not worth the over-$20 price tag. Have passed on 13 so far, but may take a look.

I was not planning on drinking mine until next year, so it looks like that will be OK.
