Top Producers as Voted by Your Wallet

What an interesting exercise. I would never, ever have guessed it, but my top three by value are:

JJ Prum
Bouchard Pere et Fils
Donnhoff

I would have thought there would be a lot more Burgundy in there, or at least one Bordeaux representation. Top three by number of bottles are:

Donnhoff
JJ Prum
Bouchard

Guess I love my German Riesling more than I realise! [dance-clap.gif]

By the way, just wanted to note that there was no way I would have been able to do this exercise in a matter of minutes (or perhaps ever) without Eric and Cellartracker. Kudos again!

Were you always a Chave-a-holic, or did you go on a recent spree after your Seattle visit and the little Chave vertical?

It’s all Michael Gordon’s fault.

I’m pretty sure quantity and value are the same but since I don’t track the latter can’t be certain.

Bottle count will change this year thanks to my recent Catch and Release order from Arcadian. Value will change, too, since I cut back on both KB and Sea Smoke orders. Despite the allocation screw-up at Saxum, they’re still tops in my count and value by a long stretch.

Excluding the house wine…

Tricky question, as the value ones for me aren’t based on my purchase price, but which wines have escalated in price most.
