Vinous: Some winery called “Bedrock” is apparently pretty good...

Limerick Lane, Pagani Ranch, Papera, and Nervo are our favorite reds. Compagni Portis for whites and the Godello from the previous Abrente project were incredible. Riesling is good also for domestic riesling.

Bedrock is everything I love about a winery. It’s a family dynasty (if you can call Joel and Morgan that yet, maybe a future one) that understands its purpose and place in the winemaking history of their region, and with it are becoming part of that history.

Morgan and Chris remain so down to earth even with the growing demands of their work (pun intended) and an increasing customer base, and every interaction I’ve had with their staff either by phone, email, or in person at the Hooker House has been excellent. Oh yeah, and the wines are great

Now I want to open a Bedrock. I’m eyeing a 2016 Gambrels of the Sky Grenache for later…
