I’ve found the texture to be awful whenever I’ve used one because the incorporate so much air into the mixture. It’s like eating Styrofoam.
Yup. You cannot just make soup by using the “soup” button, unless you like drinking liquid velvet…which sort of sounds great…until you try to eat a bowl of it. I do that, and then add it to soup that has not been “blended”. You have to play around until you find what YOU like.
It’s hard to justify the cost for a “blender” but I love mine. I use it quite a bit when cooking in place of a food processor as well.
FWIW, I’d spend half the money on a great immersion blender.
