I’ve been trying to find a solid winery that has a some great pinot and chardonnay I can try, but also where I won’t be stuck in a tasting room in a warehouse district. Does anyone have any recommendations that’s within about 20 minutes of either Solvang or Santa Barbara where I can see the vines while I taste?
Another vote for Stolpman, which is doing some terrific work with syrah and other grapes. And their tasting room is across the street from Larry’s Tercero tasting room (also highly recommended) in Los Olivos.
I would go to Melville, Spear, and Hilt
