Entirely possible. 2014 was a vintage for whites.
Of course you mean CdPB
Did not show well. Pruny mess. Color was brownish. As soon as the wines hit the glass I knew they were gone.
They have good daily drinker out called Unique that is VERY tasty. Has 5% Merlot so not technically a chateauneuf, but it’s close enough and incredible for $22.
Yes I have.
Yes, Barroche Pure blanc is Clairette, and there is also a special bottling by Ch.des Tours
Sounds like a fun event. No Signature? I have some '15 and now I’m thinking of opening one over Thanksgiving since you said the '16 Pure was drinking great.
The Signature is now called the Julien Barrot. Which made me realize I either misspelled or here name was auto “corrected” to Barrone. Oops, fixed.
I opened Rayas CdP Blanc 2007 recently. Unfortunately it proved disappointing. Main take away was that it was flabby and I would rather drink a simple Bourgogne Blanc. Isabel Ferrando’s Cuvée Spéciale Vieilles Clairettes is fantastic though. Always out of magnum and inspired by a bottle Henri Bonneau once brought over for dinner (an unmarked but clearly half century old bottle made from clairettes that Isabel said was magnificent, and Henri was the one who told her she had old vine Clairettes in her vineyards)
Vaudieu, Saint Prefert ($$$ but !!!), Bastide St Dominique, Usseglio, Definitely Red …
Opened a 2010 Clos des Papes tonight. Drinking beautifully.
