WTF is the attraction with TX?

I promise to come visit you again…the next trip I plan to Vegas, I will come out to see you as well…or should I say the next time I come out to see you, I will go to Vegas as well

No brainer. If someone in city X sets something up, it will be there. The TX guys are announcing them and thus doing them. We do some here in NM, but don’t tend to announce them as they may or may not be “travel worthy” (FFII is, pizza in DFW is not IMVHO).

So “just do it” if you want a local OL.

I tried to plan the ‘Mother of all offlines’ a few years back.
I never heard more whiners and complaints!

I’m sure it’s all the ‘Texas hospitality’ that we lack here.
Free food yadda yadda yadda…

I must say this regarding Texas/Texans, in general (and not just because that is where I was raised), Texan’s are doer’s and not talker’s. It’s the whole ‘walk the talk’ thing (I’m probably mis-quoting, please forgive).

In business, I have had some of the greatest deals ever with Texans, they listen, make a decision, and then act…period. No endless deliberation, etc.

Therefore I would assume the attraction with Texas is that they ‘get it done.’

Sounds reasonable to me. I hate dicking around with anything. Get er done sounds good to me.
