Craig, the Ragnaie is a very silky and refined Brunello with great purity of fruit and streamlined tannins. I would say the emphasis is very much on restraint and finesse rather than power. I have not tried the Trapet Chambertin 2008 unfortunately though I have bought some.
Don’t keep a catalog but certainly two are from Scholium Project: an exquisitely cared-for 2002 Sylphs and the 04 shiner that turned out was Babylon.
Thanks Nigel, can’t wait to get my hands on my '10 Ragnaie coming later this fall. I may have to grab an extra one locally and pay the local premium. Sounds like its totally in my wheelhouse.

Of these the Raveneau and Dagueneau were wow wow wow. I would say the PLL and the Epire were “2 wows” while the rest were “Wow.”
Honorable mentions: Lovely roses from Donkey and Goat. They rolled out 3 this year and all were captivating. 1970 Lanessan, 1994 York Creek Meritage and a host of Biggio Hamina and Vincent from Beserker Day round out the list.
There are going to be a lot of Musar’s in this due to the 17 vintage vertical.

“The one that got away:” Missed a 1988 Dujac to be served dinner by Girl Scouts. No wine for me.
The two that come to mind were shared over dinner with my wife. 88 Krug CdM and 88 Bachelet Corbeaux.
Plenty of other (grander) things at dinners etc, but those are never as memorable as when shared between two over dinner.
That said I suspect the Muller 03 TBA and Zilliken 05 TBA I’ll taste twice in a few weeks will be rather nice too.
