Do you like any Girl Scout cookies? (Poll Added)

Just got the notice and of course buy them for support of the scout in the family.
The first year I donated them back, but last year I bought the whole range but the only ones I went back to were the Samoa and Lemon. Thinking of going all Samoa (or donating again). What’s everyone’s choice.

Well it’s true I probably could do that these days. I used to get an adorable phone call With the sales pitch. These days it’s a text message with a link

Tagalogs and Thin Mints.

In the last 20 years I only ever ate them at work. I and other people would buy them for a co-worker's daughter, eat one or two, and put the rest in the pantry.

Thin Mints haven’t been as good since they switched to a chocolate cookie. I’m still a sucker for the occasional Tagalong and Samosa.

No, but that's not a slight on the girl scouts, as I can't think of any commercial/prepackaged cookies that are good. If I'm going to eat a cookie it's going to be homemade or something from a local bakery.

Trefoils pair exceedingly well with Angry Orchard Crisp Apple cider. It makes for an apple pie a la mode feel.

Thin mints, just out of the freezer, then dipped in peanut butter, is also delicious.

A few years ago, under duress from my SIL, whose daughter was hawking, I tried Samoas and one other unremembered variety. The memory almost makes me retch.

A friend has two cases of the stuff.........from both one and two years ago. His daughter will not allow disposal, but the family members feel as you do.

Thin mints for me as well. All my purchases were from parents pushing them hard in the office. With Covid, wonder if sales will suffer tremendously?

2. Can donate them to a charity.
3. Don't get harassed by 10 screaming little kids.

Downside.

Reduces the chances of seeing a MILF.

Flawed. Needs to be a checkbox poll, not radio buttons.

Samoas are top of the heap, but I also like Tagalongs and Thin Mints. Lemonades on occasion.

Thin Mints!! Stick them in your freezer...so yummy when frozen. Or dip them in your coffee or crush them and put them on ice cream.

This thread reminded me of the 2 year old Girl Scout cookies we have sitting in the pantry. We always buy them and then never end up eating them. Samoas, Thin Mints, and Do-so-dos are the usual suspect. I’m going to tell my wife to start just donating or like other suggested just give them away.

I think my Samosa’s were stale after 6mo?

It seems maybe the way to go If you buy a bunch like I’m now hooked into

(besides donation) is go deep and freeze the thin mints then pulse them on some ice cream. Wonder if that would work for any others?

Reporting back that these have been safely disposed of but my wife (before realizing how old they are) tried to save them. I should have let her eat one and recorded.
