2019 Bordeaux

Sorry for answering late.
Per my understand it’s more a question of soil :
spring was raining a lot and ground water was planty
summer and september, weather was very hot without water
Chateau with Clay soil or with planty ground water are succesfull
For other chateaux, result are between 2003 and 2009.

PC 81€ with taxes (vat 20%) in france

With the announcement of new tariffs (which presumably will apply to wine, and certainly other items), and a 6 month suspension thereof, I’m wondering if there will be a race to try to import the 2019 Bordeaux to beat the clock? When are these supposed to be bottled?

december at the earliest. Cant comment on the tariffs. You’ll find a trickle between Dec 21 and Summer 22.

Not at the moment at least.

Under the administration’s announcement, 25 percent tariffs would apply to about $2.1 billion worth of goods from Austria, Britain, India, Italy, Spain and Turkey.
