Aubert Release went Live this Morning

Not a wine under $100. I’m glad I bought large before these price increases started, I think, in 2022.

What do you recommend and why? Thanks!

I dropped off several years ago. What is the going rate today? thanks

Lauren Estate is $150 with most wines at $100.

I have liked every one I’ve tried. Faves are Sugar Shack and Powder House. But they all need time. Aubert recommends a double decant if you drink them early.

How much of an increase is this? What were the wines priced like at least release or the last few?

Thanks in advance

Based on my CT records, the cheapest wines were $95 last year, $90 the prior year and $85 the year before that.

annnd… I’m out! 6 bottle minimum with the least expensive wines at $100 (and another 6 bottle minimum release in Fall), all the while most of the secondary market pricing of aged bottles isn’t too far from these new prices. I can put this approx. $1,500/year to better use elsewhere.

Is Kistler this expensive and have a 12 bottle/year minimum?

The Pinot list is separate. So you just need to buy 6

Bought 1 of each vineyard. Aubert and Ferren are the only whites I buy

I am dropping Aubert too. Still have plenty from prior years. Moving on.

I’m staying on, but prefer not to keep the 6 bottle minimum (I just don’t drink enough chard). Anyone want to split 3 (or more)?

Also would ideally like to stay on but don’t want to keep the 6 bottle min if anyone else is interested in splitting.

Ended up ordering a case but if the prices go higher 2023 will probably be my last vintage.

Kistler is roughly the same but with various hostage scenarios. You can’t just pick and choose to make a minimum purchase. Their shipping is very expensive as well.

In for 6 Aubert - consistently me and my wife’s favorite Chardonnays. Cellar is getting pretty heavy with them, so we’ll see how many more offerings I dive in on if the price keeps going up.

I went in for a case. Only have a couple vintages, but certainly moving up in price

I think I’m going to pass, maybe I’ll try to jump back on the list down the road.

Same. Unsubscribe button for this one.

I’m dropping too. Love Aubert’s chards but it just got too hard to justify the price given some of the great chards coming out of Oregon these days at much more approachable price points.
