Breezeaire, CellarCool, or N'Finity

I’m looking into cooling options for my 650 cu ft passive cellar room. One 12" wall and one 6" wall are underground. The other walls are inside basement walls. My temperature is good (mid-upper 50’s) in cold weather, but in the summer months runs about 72. I’m currently looking at the Breezeaire WKL 3000, the N’Finity 3000 and the CellarCool CX3300. I’d like to keep my costs close to or under $1,000. Does anyone have experience/knowledge of these units? Suggestions for others options?

Same boat here. Would love to hear other recommendations or comments on the pro’s/con’s of each. Thanks!

I recently installed the CellarCool - choosing it over the Breezaire because it is a newer design, made by WhisperKool as a Breezaire replacement (same size wall openings). Hopefully it will last me a very long time. If you expect very warm summer conditions then the Breezaire unit lacks the Cellarcool’s automatic defrost cycle (turns off temporarily after running for a lengthy period of time to prevent ice buildup).

I don’t know anything about the N’Finity unit.

Kenmore AC unit.

You can “trick” it into running cooler than ~60 using a resistor, but even without it setting it to 60 should get your cellar down to close to the winter temps, which it seems you’re happy with. $150 for the smallest unit, which is probably adequate for your needs, but even the next size up is only $200.

The MIGHTY Kenmore!!!

TTT

My Breezaire has that feature. I believe it is two hours before it shuts off. It’s happened maybe twice in the 7 plus years I’ve had the unit.

I’d pony up the extra coin for a CellarPro, it is by far a superior serviceable system.

Defrost is absolute BS, a wine cellar cooling system does not need a defrost cycle because the evaporators run well above freezing (typically 45°F.) if you have frost on the coil your machine has a problem.
