We are going back to 1865 on the DRC right?
Ron
You’re right. It is a bit of an in-joke (as is excessibe). Fun for a while, but I believe it’s use will die away as the joke tires.

Ian
Can someone tell me the dividing line between balla and ok? Where would you put the following:
1999 Truchot Clos de la Roche
1999 Dujac Clos de la Roche
1999 Ponsot Clos de la Roche
1999 Clos des Lambrays
2001 Comte Vogue Musigny
Is the person that brought the 99 lambrays still invited to future dinners?
@fred c @matthew Goldman @aso (our board needs a notification feature. When you get @ you get notified of a post mentioning you) (btw just kidding about the invite)

There was no dinner with these wines, although I have had or at least own a majority of them. I am trying to find out what a balla wine is. Where is the dividing line.
And, the 1999 Clos des Lambrays is a great wine.

+1… that would be a good feature to have…
Can someone tell me the dividing line between balla and ok? Where would you put the following:
1982 Canon
1982 Ducru
1982 Leoville las Cases
1982 Mission Haut Brion
1982 Latour
1980 Mayacamas
1985 Ridge Monte Bello
1997 Harlan
1999 Truchot Clos de la Roche
1999 Dujac Clos de la Roche
1999 Ponsot Clos de la Roche
1999 Clos des Lambrays
2001 Comte Vogue Musigny
There is no such thing as a balla wine, only wines that are opened with a balla sensibility.
But who is opening 1999 grand crus now? Bad idea in my experience.
“Hey baller baller baller baller, suhwing, baller.”

It’s becoming excessibe lately.
That’s a perfectly cromulent word.

I find your self-referentiality disturbing. Don’t you?
There was no dinner with these wines,
You drink all that without dinner? You’re a balla Howard! Way to go man!

That would make you a real Kwyjibo.
You embiggened my happiness level with that post.
What percentage of threads have “baller” in the title?
I am curious as to what people’s threshold for complaint might be.
In Wine Talk, 0.00278%.
I was enjoying this thread until I had to see Miely. Can we ban any images of Miely Cyrus along with any references to “Baller” and it’s derivatives?

Apparently, nobody has any idea where to draw the balla wine, which overall is good.

Some do…although they’ve progressed to painting.

Hey, hey; if you have a point of order, start your own thread!
