Cattleya Winery Style?

Anyone familiar with their style of Pinot

I just had her 2021 Belly of the Whale and it was quite good. I would say it’s lower-medium ripeness with nice acid and well balanced.

The One and Eight in the past have seemed more toward medium ripeness, but still well-balanced.

The Alma is a very good bargain at around $30 and I buy at least a case every year and it is a crowd-pleaser.

I have heard her say she brings an old-world approach to California grapes and I think that is accurate. Her wines definitely highlight the fruit but seem more restrained than some other Sonoma wineries.

Tom’s view is spot-on here. It’s a balanced, medium-ripeness style with great freshness and no shortage of complexity. I love the wines – and the Alma de Cattleya provides incredible value. Love these wines. They usually clock in the low 14s on alcohol, as I recall, and don’t sleep on the Chardonnay! Bibiana’s Shared Notes wines are also fantastic.

Agree on the Shared Notes, it is a really excellent Sauv Blanc. And yes, just bought some Chardonnay and it is very good.
