Any chance you can provide some tips? I cannot get them to answer emails or phone calls, and I am extremely worried about my collection… Some of my most prized bottles have somehow no longer appear in my inventory.

Very sad to see what’s happened to what once was a great business. Way back in time I was the 85th storage client there. I remember back in 2016 when they suddenly jacked up their prices and we at Manhattan Wine Company were able to bring onboard a lot of familiar faces.
With the opening of our second facility in Northern New Jersey we’ve been able to help a lot more folks find state-of-the-art wine storage in the NYC metro area. During recent weeks/months we’ve transferred a great many clients out of Chelsea and we continue to get inquiries all the time as news gets out. FYI, our storage clients can pick up outbound property for free at our lower Manhattan retail store. As well as send shipments and local NYC wine shop deliveries there for free transfer to the warehouse (Chambers, Crush, Flatiron, Leon & Son, etc.). It’s as close to being in Manhattan as you are going to find. And we regularly pick up at HDH and Acker auctions in Delaware for $15/box to our warehouse, no minimum.

I’m having some issues withdrawing my collection also, do you have any suggestions? I have not seen any changes in my inventory.

I was told that they have “slowed down a bit” by someone on our team this morning.
My guess is they are getting overwhelmed. Keep emailing them, about once a day.
I worked with MWC for years when I was living on the East Coast. They’re great and their attention to detail is superb. Highly recommend them for storage.
I have been a MWC storage customer for a little under a year since they opened a new facility in NJ. Always very responsive and Marc is a pleasure to deal with.
Was this a group barrel purchase where the wine was never delivered?
no. delivered to storage customer at chelsea, stolen, and now for sale at their retail store.
Seriously makes me want to throw up.
I counted maybe 20 bottles known to be stolen and on the shelf. No idea how this can continue but anyone still storing at Chelsea is taking on unreasonable risk.

I’m sure all these fine and delicate wines are going adapt beautifully to their new habitat.
