Great meal at a new restaurant (to me) in Copenhagen, Restaurant Anton.
The wines were a blast, short notes below and inta link to some pics
Bollinger 2005
A serious Champagne, deep flavors with oxidative notes. Old school for sure. Very satisfying and great with starters. 94p
Dujac Puligny Folatieres 2019
The nose was simply to die for, goosebumps magic. So pure, complex flinty and citrus flavors with extreme high salvation score. Great follow-up in the mouth long and satisfying. Best young white burg for a while. 97p
F-Gagnard CM Vergers 2021
Great young Gagnard, I think quality has increased here. However, it did take some time to open up, and maybe also suffered a bit from coming after the great Dujac. A lot of tension here, very bright and energetic, citrus pear and green apple. 93p. I suggest to wait a bit on this one.
Chateau Bellevue Mondotte 2001
It has been a while since I last drank one of these blockbusters - very different style than my Burgundy preference. Served slightly chilled, brilliant move by the sommelier. This worked great with the beef and intense sauce. Deep aroma with high yum factor, cassis, plums and truffle. Intense in the mouth, but in a good way as there is complexity and umami. Long and satisfying. 95p
Trapet Chapelle Chambertin 2006
Very different style. I was afraid that it would be powered away from the bordeaux, but not the case. So beautiful nose, elegant roses, cherry and umami oozing from the glass. My nose was in the glass so many times Great follow-up in the mouth. Sophisticated mouthfeel broadening out in the mouth. 96p
Cheers
