Downtown Sonoma or Napa tasting room recommendations

We are looking for good tasting rooms in either downtown Napa and Sonoma for a trip we are planning in June. Any must see’s/go to’s that you would recommend?

Yes, some great stops.

My wife and I love tasting at the downtown Napa Mayacamus room, and they pour library wines.

Napa Vintners’ Collective should be good for about 2+ hours plus a heavy buzz. Ask for Jeremy and tell him I sent you!

We’ve had a nice experience at WALT Wines, too. It’s the pinot and chard part of Hall Winery’s portfolio.

What wines does Napa Vintners pour? Never heard of that one. Intrigued by the mayacamas library pours too. Good tip

Check out Scale Wine Group- my friend Des Echavarrie runs it. They represent about two dozen labels and can arrange custom tastings. Right across from downtown on the river and about a block from Oxbow.

Bedrock and Sojourn are in the heart of downtown Sonoma

Tom

Thanks for the mention Chris.

Ron - if you’d like to taste with us please let me know. Our tasting room is about 5 minutes from downtown Napa near Silverado Country Club. Cheers - Karen

+1 on the Mayacamas Tasting room in Downtown Napa. We have been there a few times and highly recommend it.

And the Sonoma Town Square area is charming with lots of dining options

These were my choices also. But you must have an appointment.

Robert Craig has a new tasting room downtown. Wines are good!

Healdsburg Town Square and environs have many attractions (food and wine) depending on your schedule.

Mostly “micro-winery” stuff, but so well curated, you’ll plotz!

Zosia Winery, Patel, Carte Blanche, Ellman family, Flanagan, and others.

They also curate tastings by winemaker, so you can taste across wineries that have the same winemaker.

Absolutely, it’s even more charming but a bit of a drive up. Worth it

One more suggestion, very different and very nice. Have been there when our daughter visited us

SIGH Champagne and Sparkling Bar-Tasting Room. Nice selection of bubbles and reservations are NOT taken. Walk ins only. Located in downtown Sonoma, a one minute walk from the Plaza.

Based on my experiences so far, these would be my recs. With a lunch break outside of town at Il Molino Central. That would be a great day (for me, anyway).

Good suggestion on Sigh - tell Jamie we said hello. If you like bubbles there is also a relatively new spot called Be Bubbly that opened on 2nd street in downtown Napa. We have not been there yet but it is getting good reviews.

I am overwhelmed by all of the great suggestions. Thanks to everyone. I have passed them on to the couple whose celebration is the purpose of this trip!
