Essential Books on Burgundy?

If I were to write an autobiography that’s what it would be. Gotta be real [pwn.gif]

What is the saying, If you don’t have anything nice to say about anybody, sit next to me. That’s the Rosenthal book.

Kermit’s book is really a pastiche of his newsletters. I’ve always been a little annoyed with it, because Becky Wasserman-Hone, with whom he worked, gets so little mention. She deserved more.
In the book, An Ideal Wine, David Darlington tells the story of lunch with Randall Grahm chez Kermit. Worth reading and quite entertaining, as are all of David’s books.

It seems to me that Nowell has it covered for basic books on Burgundy.

Eunice Fried wrote a book called Burgundy, which Becky’s ex husband called Beckondy. Nice chapter on Michel Lafarge and a nice picture of moi many years ago.

Of course. I read both of these, though I generally don’t read autobiographies.

What they claim is irrelevant. How they come accross is important…and they both seemed very self-impressed. Beyond their “accomplishments” as wine importers trying to make a living at it. Particularly Rosenthal…
