Not to be confused the the WTF stopper.
Press and seal plastic wrap works in a pinch.
Otherwise, the fantes champagne stopper is our favorite.
I also use the Fantes stopper.
I’ve been pretty happy with this one so far: https://www.crateandbarrel.com/champagne-stopper/s222027.
For a day or two I think any stopper works
If longer, I like the clamp style.I have several, but favorite is listed on Amazon as Viski Professional Heavyweight Champagne Stopper. Recommended by a friend, only one clamp lever, but very heavy and does amazing job. Except on Ruinart bottles which have unusual lip, there I use a plastic one that has a twist on top
I also have one with twist on top for bottles with atypical neck or lip.

My gullet.
Any sense pumping in argon before stopping for keeping overnight? Does it even make sense to use argon with champange?
Well, it gets the oxygen out but I don’t think I’ve noticed oxidize overnight in the refrigerator. It would be slightly better to flush with CO2, but only a little.
