We know that a lot of very expensive wines are produced using Hudson fruit including the spectacular Kongsgaard Syrah. What’s interesting is that Hudson also produces a fair amount of more moderately priced wine that is flat out terrific. In particular, I have a soft spot for the 2016 Hudson Syrah, which was the last vintage they produced of this variety. What a killer wine! I have never bought 4 cases of any single wine in my life except for this one. If you ever have the chance to try it, or some of their recent chardonnays, go for it. And if anybody knows the proprietor, ask him to please make some more syrah!
Bought a few bottles of their 2018 chard based on their RP /LPB scores. Haven’t tried on yet. The Syrah sounds good but seemingly long sold out. Reminds me of the 2013 Bevan Moaveni. Wish they continue to source that vineyard and make that Syrah. Amazing bottle. Only one left. Glad you grabbed 4 cases of yours.
Well worth a visit if you are in Carneros. The property is amazing, and they also have incredible produce grown on the property which you can buy at the Oxbow Market in Napa. We tasted through their current wines this past summer and all were very good. The house style seems to emphasize strong aromatics which will appeal to some and not others.

Jeff, I saw your post about our 2016 Syrah. All of us here at Hudson appreciate your praise and feel equally enthusiastic about our Syrah. You will be glad to know in 2020 we re-instituted our Syrah program, hoorah!

Had a 2019 Hudson Lady bug chardonnay the other night and it was excellent. Love these chardonnays every year.
Looked back in my log. I can see that I rated the Lady Bug 2017 highly but that I did score the 2017 Little Bit higher.
Overall I find their chards to be great value (and quality for the single vineyards).
Carneros for the win!!!
