Trader Joe’s occasionally carries the Teva meats (mostly just ground beef, ribeye and the occasional bit of stew neat). My experiences have been inconsistent, but overall I wouldn’t want 35 pounds of this in my freezer…

Here is the “offal pack” too: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11622680&search=kosher+beef&Mo=1&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&lang=en-US&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Sp=S&N=5000043&whse=BC&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=Text_Search&Dr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ne=4000000&D=kosher+beef&Ntt=kosher+beef&No=0&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav=&s=1

Eric, is it just not good…chewy, bland, etc.?

I am with you on not wanting 35lbs of mystery cuts, but I do keep about that much of preferred steaks and hamburger on hand.

Apart from one very good ribeye, mostly I have found it pretty lean and chewy. Also it is strangely ‘pink’ both before and after being cooked. To be honest, I have yet to ever meet a Kosher steak that I would ever dare serve you. (I think you would appreciate what I can do with shortribs and brisket though.)

Understood.

Maybe someday I can get a sample of your short ribs.
