As always the food at La Fete was great but I wanted to give a special shout out to a new bakery, Banh by Lauren at 42 Market St.

They served a Pandan Coconut chiffon cake which was superb. If their other pastries are as good it will be a must visit

French/Vietnamese styled pastries

Good to hear. This was getting a lot of press before it opened and I had it on my list to try. But I don’t buy pastries/cakes all that often! Already big fans of Lady Wong, and before that, Kuih Cafe, and it’s all I can do to get enough chances to patronize those places.
