We were in Portugal last year July.

Belcanto in Lisbon was great for food.
They had some really nice old Portuguese reds (Viuve Gomes Colares from 1960’s).

If in Algarve, we loved Vila Joya in Albufeira, also Michelin 2 star.
if you are down there, a guided kayak tour to Benagil cave is an absolute must do.

Got back from a wine tour in Portugal last week.
Need your covid test to get on the aircraft. Also need your Portugal passenger locator form. You also need a negative test to come back. Got mine at a local pharmacy.
Hotels need either a negative test or proof of vaccination to get in. Most took the CDC form. Only one did not, but they provided a rapid antigen test to do in front of a staff member. If negative, good to go. Restaurants need a test or proof on weekends when sitting inside.
Porto was nearly as crowded as prepandemic. I talked to a couple of local friends in wine shops and bars and they said business was about 80%+ as prepandemic.
Harvest is ongoing. 2021 looks like an excellent year. Some rain in the Douro, but it stopped and is drying out.
Even got to tread in a lagar at Herdade do Mouchao!
