Quick lunch Stop between SFO and Santa Rosa - looking for tips

Wife and I are arriving Wednesday around noon and were looking for any hidden gem lunch stops between SFO rental area and Santa Rosa. I’ve been searching and found a couple spots that look interesting for a quick stop for takeout but would love any suggestions.

Very preliminary, looking at Taqueria San Bruno (close to SFO when leaving airport), Mary’s Pizza Shack in Petaluma, and Lombardi’s Deli in Petaluma. We stopped at Lombardi’s on our last trip and enjoyed it.

Thanks

I had SFO listed, but changed it. Didn’t know San Fran was offensive to some. I’ll change it so as to not offend.

lol it’s a great way to out yourself as an east coaster. i fell for it years ago as well, just messing.

and honestly with the stress of travel and getting out of SFO, plus all the high fallutin food around sonoma and napa, in and out burger after a long flight always works well.

Mary’s is great pizza for sure. Very different from NY style though so it depends on what you are into.

I’m from the midwest and I’m guessing no one would confuse me for an east coaster. Lol. Thanks for the tips.

Interesting. I was thinking my wife would like the salad or wrap, and the chicken sandwich looks pretty solid to me.

Brewsters Beer Garden in Petaluma is fun

Oops, missed takeout. Nugget Market in Novato will make you an excellence sandwich, they have a nice salad bar, lots of prepared foods you can grab and go.

Frisco is worse, no locals use it. Not offensive, except to a former newspaper columnist.

Sol Food in San Rafael would be a good bet

Joe’s Taco Lounge (Mill Valley)

What is in the site of the former Fremont Diner if anything?

There’s something called Lou’s Luncheonette, described as a bbq place, but I haven’t been in there. It’s not really on the way between SFO and Santa Rosa, lol.

Used to be worth the slight detour or on the road between Napa and Sonoma. Glad someone is there again

I think it’s the same owners, they had a chicken and biscuit place in between. I haven’t eaten there, though.

Driver’s Market in Sausalito is a gem.

Total no-brainer - Swan Oyster Depot on Polk in SF. You will be pleased.

If you’re willing to go into SF, you could do far worse than Hog Island in the Ferry Building or A16 in the Marina.

Sushi Ran is a great place!

El Molino Central in Sonoma.

My only regret is not getting the seafood cocktail because they ran out by the time I got there. All the food is good there.
