Just announced my second rieslingstudy of the year! The cellar is bursting and I am going all out on this one and will be bringing a ton of wine!!
Details below:
Spring is here and it is time for Rieslingstudy in the Garden!!!
For those that don’t know Rieslingstudy is an amalgamation of food, music, wine and good times that celebrates German riesling.
Our second #rieslingstudy of the year will be at @pdvnyc one of my absolute favorite wine bars in NYC.
The PdV team is giving us their beautiful garden that has just the right riesling vibes and has agreed for the first time ever to do Schnitzel sandwichs (although I bet this comes back on the menu)!
In addition to the Schnizel sandwichs you will get to taste a flight of @vomboden German riesling curated by @collinwagner and Carenn Mackinnon.
I will be bringing a large array of rare, old and large format bottles of German rieslings to share with all students. Please feel free to bring whatever you like as long as its German and/or riesling!
I also expect a few German Chardonnay, Silvaner and Spätburgunder cameos!
This is just about sold out. Only a few tickets remain. Lots of great riesling collectors will be attending so it will be possible, if wanted, to taste 100+ wines!
I registered. Will be my first NYC wine event and a relative riseling newbie but increasingly riseling curious. As such was going to bring 1999 Hermann Ludes, Klusserather Bruderschaft Riesling Kabinett Trocken picked up from Flatiron a few months back but if this group would have all purchased these anyways maybe have something around from desire lines
Welcome to the Rieslingstudy party! Either of those sound great. You get four wines with the ticket and if past studies are predictors you get to taste as many wines as your are interested in. It will be a great intro. I typically bring 1-2 cases of wine. Vom Boden is also very generous. It is going to be a great time!
Jealous! I’m hoping to make one of these events in the future with my friend @AlbertH
Based in San Antonio, I’ve been lucky enough to meet Carenn and her husband, Max. He has an awesome Lyonnaise style restaurant here, with what I think is among the coolest wine lists in the state. Please PM if you are ever in the area and look forward to joining an event in the future!
sad to miss this one too… i try my damndest each time but I’ll be holding it down in Houston this time. Don’t worry @J.Vizuete we’ll go big the next time around!!
Bringing about 20 Spatlese starting from 1952, plus some Keller GGs and German Chardonnay. Plus a number of other collectors are bringing are bringing some heat.
I have a free ticket for any artist, musician or food and wine professional that wants it!
