I bought the Syrahs on BD, but missed out on the cab. I’m setting a reminder for BD ‘22 to buy Cabernet and the syrahs.

They are not making the syrah anymore, BTW my personal favorite but my wife is the Riverain cabernet freak.

I’m not sure there is any syrah left, I’d PM Steve and ask. I know he was pulling stuff out of his personal cellar for Berserkerday.

Side note: for a number of years the syrah was the house wine by the glass at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach, CA and that place has a DEEP cellar.

I just looked in my cellar and I still have 2011 and 2012 syrah. The 2011 is a spectacular wine for Rhone lovers.

The website still shows the 2016 Syrah but I’ll just make a reminder for all Riverain.

I will be all over that BD '15 Syrah. The '16 I had last year was incredible. Sorry to hear, if it’s true, that you won’t be making Syrah anymore

Nah, the Cardiac Hill vineyard is struggling. Don’t know the details but now Carlisle and Riverain have stopped taking fruit from the place.

Despite the quality it can be challenging to sell. We did pretty well selling through but it takes some work.

The fruit goes to a number of producers I believe.

We had the opportunity to obtain Silver Eagle Pinot and decided to switch to that.

if memory serves, the reserve is $195/btl. I’m in (hopefully)
