At The Coffee Grounds, yes, we sell coffee. We also sell wine, beer, chocolate, cheese, and more. All things that recognizably have a terroir. The coffees below have something special about them that we loved and are all grown and taken care of the way a vigneron does. Once the grower shepherds the green beans to us, we roast it. And we roast it well. For five years running, we have won best roaster in our area and have continued to grow our coffee business.
After ten years of managing the business, my wife (Megan) and I (Will) recently took over the business from Eric. Having his 30 years of experience, knowledge and instruction in learning about great coffee and wine has been able to springboard us to ongoing success. We look forward to impressing you with the coffees below.
These coffees are fully traceable to the producer, and come with information such as variety, farm elevation and specific processing details. Plain and simple, these coffees are truly top-shelf, and we are very pleased as a small, single batch roaster to work with this outstanding coffee.
You will receive 2-8oz sealed, one way valve bags of each coffee (4# total, whole bean). These are small production coffees so we are limited in the number of orders we can take.
The price for Wine Berserkers is $99-- shipping included–for 4# of Whole Bean Microlot Coffee. Use discount code BDJAN2025 to get free shipping. Coffee will be roasted and orders shipped the week following Berserker day.

Mexican FTO
Region: Chiapas
Farmer: Elvira Trejo
Farm: Finca San Juan del Vesubio
Variety: Bourbon, Typica, Mundo Novo grown at 1500-1800 masl
Method: Washed
Notes: With caramel and fresh papaya flavors, this coffee has a delicate fruit-like sweetness with tart tartaric acidity to lift it.

Brazil
Region: Campo das Vertentes
Farmer: Fazenda Guariroba
Farm: Fazenda Guariroba
Variety: Typica, Pink Bourbon, 920-1100 masl
Method: Honey
Notes: Intense lavender and tropical fruit are prominent, complemented by dried citrus zest. The profile features tart acidity, a creamy mouthfeel, and spices like cardamom alongside fresh bergamot and vanilla.
Unfortunately, Brazil has had a poor reputation in the coffee market as being a mass producer. It is a shame because that then gets transposed onto high quality farms and farmers like Fazenda Guariroba who has won Cup of Excellence awards in Brazil and internationally. The rare Pink Bourbon variety is a hybrid of Red and Yellow Bourbon. It’s rare, exceedingly difficult to produce with consistency, but also more resistant to coffee rust.
