A collector friend of mine bought this in the early 1990’s and wanted to open something nice for the holidays.
Old red Burgundy is truly a remarkable experience and gives me more reason to keep cellaring my wines.
At peak. The nose smelled of fall leaves wrapped around some roses. Beautifully balanced kaleidoscope of sweet dark cherry fruit. The texture was so silky and smooth with a finish that was irresistible and super long. Hedonistic!
Didn’t realize it was released in the nineties, makes sense on my friend’s purchase. Would truly love to drink another bottle in the near future, maybe a trip to Bern’s is in order…
