1999 Château Lynch-Bages - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac (6/20/2009)
Textbook Lynch Bages, textbook Bordeaux. Ample fruit yet not overdone. Moderate finish. This is just climbing into the “drink” phase of the drinkability curve. This was a pop-n-pour for us however I’d recommend a 2 hour decant. Great now, better in 5 years, will last several beyond that.

Love it! (Is that Keith’s dog?)
thanks for the note
had this had Bordeaux Index 1999 claret tasting on weds and thought it was one f the better 99’s. having some weight in the middle that many of the wines lacked and also still showing some fruit. big tannins and a really interesting sweet and savory nose. agreed it will get better with another 5-7 years
the Palmer was also really good as was the Lafleur
