2004 Robert Foley Claret - USA, California, Napa Valley, Spring Mountain District (2/13/2009)
Slow-oxed for about 5 hours before tasting. Rich explosive notes of blackberries, cassis, dark cherries, and molten chocolate. Initially quite overpowering, this wine came into perfect balance and really started to strut its stuff after being open about 8 hours. Fine-grained tannins and a polished finish competes this luxuriously indulgent wine. 93-94 points. (93 pts.)
Lucky you 
The last time I opened one of these (a month or so ago) it took 24 hours to be approachable. Awesome then though.
